UK ministers have been told they must massively accelerate the transition to more environmentally friendly heating systems and find a sensible ECO4 funding scheme to encourage households to abandon boilers.
Grant Boilers insists that installing “clean heating systems” under the government-backed ECO4 scheme—such as free boiler scheme,air-source heat pumps, district heating connections, and electric storage heaters—in all homes is “the only way to achieve emissions reductions on the scale demanded by the 2050 net zero target”.
